BC Ferries uses large steel panels to guide their boats into the dock. The boats score the panels which rust into dull textures over time. With patience, the textures and scoring can be coaxed into lively images. Alternatively, painted surfaces are worn away into compelling compositions which are then augmented with rust. Digital image manipulation does the rest.
